HD video, color, stereo sound, 21′ 6″, loop
Restricted spatially to the visual framework, the artist runs. At the same time, measurable brain values are recorded using an electroencephalogram (EEG). EEG values are, synchronously to performance, translated into sound, a sine wave that reacts proportionally to the brain's electrical potentials. The performance was documented audiovisually and is presented in a loop.
No two brains in the world are identical, owing to the brain’s plasticity: no brain contains the same organisation of neural configurations as another. Beyond the differences between individual brains, the brain also changes as we live, continuously transforming as a consequence of its plastic capacities.
To confine myself to the visual plane during a period of social restrictions. The pervasive context of the pandemic imposed a mandatory lockdown, prompting a process of individual withdrawal. Gradually, I filled the entire space that sheltered me, composing it intuitively and at random. Nuanced traces of my passage gradually emerged, distinguishing themselves while becoming interrelated. The performance was carried out after the end of the mandatory lockdown.
